Mobile Car Dent Repairs Bolton
Not every dent suits a mobile repair. Here’s how to size yours up, and what we can realistically do about it at your home or workplace.
Sizing up your own dent

Three things decide whether a dent is a quick job or a bodyshop job: how big it is, how sharp it is, and where it sits on the panel.
- Size. Dings up to roughly the size of a coin or a golf ball on an open, flat area are the most promising.
- Shape. A soft, rounded dip is easier than a sharp crease. If you can see a line where the metal has folded, it has probably stretched.
- Position. Dents on a swage line, right at a panel edge or over a double skin are much harder to bring back fully.
Then check the paint. If it’s unbroken, there’s a chance of a repair without any painting at all. If it’s cracked or flaked, the dent gets reshaped first and the area is then refinished, much like a scratch and paint repair.
An honest view of the result
From your photos we’ll tell you whether the dent should come out completely, will be greatly improved but still faintly visible in certain light, or isn’t a good mobile repair. You’ll know which before you book, so nothing about the finish comes as a surprise.

Dents in plastic belong with bumper repairs. Damage spreading over several panels is quoted as car bodywork repair, and if the same knock caught a wheel, see painted alloy wheel repairs. We cover Bolton and the nearby towns; find out more about us or read the full FAQ list.
