Mobile Alloy Wheel Repairs Bolton
Kerbed painted alloys refinished at your home or workplace in Bolton, plus a straight guide to the wheel damage we won’t touch.
Is your kerbed rim a cosmetic repair?

Kerb rash looks bad, but most of the time it only affects the paint and the outer lip of the rim. Before you ask for a price, look over the wheel with these questions in mind:
- Is it painted or diamond-cut? A painted wheel has an even, coloured finish. A diamond-cut face looks bright and machined with fine lines. We repair painted wheels only.
- Is the damage only on the surface? Scrapes, gouges and chipped paint on the rim edge are what we refinish.
- Any vibration or air loss? A wobble through the steering at speed, or a tyre that keeps going soft, points to a bend or crack. That needs a tyre or wheel specialist, not paint.
Wheel work we decline: diamond-cut faces, cracks, buckles and colour changes. Painted alloys are refinished in the shade they already wear.
Getting ready for the visit
- Hose and sponge the wheels the day before, so brake dust isn’t hiding any of the damage.
- Find your locking wheel nut key in case we need it.
- Skip tyre dressing for a week or so beforehand; it can stop fresh paint bonding.
How a wheel is refinished
- We confirm the damage is cosmetic and look for cracks or flat spots.
- The rash is sanded smooth, with deeper gouges filled and shaped.
- Primer goes on and is heat cured.
- Colour is matched to your wheels, applied and cured.
- A tough clear coat finishes the job, and we explain how to look after it.
Every painted alloy wheel repair is guaranteed for one year, subject to our terms.
